This presentation aims to shine a light on fatphobia, the pervasive and accepted nature of it, calling out the different ways that it shows up in everyday life. We will look at the real impacts of the bias on those in fat bodies and find different ways to address fatphobia when it presents. There will also be a list of resources for further consideration for attendees to continue to work through their own bias.

About the Presenter Nathalie, a dedicated psychotherapist with M Health Fairview and LynLake Centers for Wellbeing, brings compassion and expertise to her practice. With a background in trauma work, crisis intervention, EMDR, and therapy, she finds purpose in helping others heal and find peace. As a passionate public speaker, she advocates against fatphobia, weight bias and leverages her platform to promote inclusivity, acceptance, and mental well-being. Nathalie has an educational background that includes a bachelor’s degree in business and human resources, and two master’s degrees, one in human resources and most recently in social work.
