Neural Linguistic Programming – The Science of Transformation -- What Social Workers Should Know
The interesting thing about the verb “change” is that we can change for the better, the bad news is we can also change back. Transformation is a more interesting verb in our language because the butterfly never goes back to being a caterpillar. It is a completely different way of thinking, and a completely different way of approaching life. Neural Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a very specific science; it is very logical and linear with a focus on transformation. This webinar is about how the NLP approach can be used by social workers to help their clients change and transform their lives.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the latest cutting-edge new content on neural programming vs. traditional psychological tools. Taught by a social worker, (me) it bridges the gap between what I learned in my MSW program in the early 90’s and what has been updated with newer behavioral research.
Addresses controversial new theories between traditional work and the latest research, AND, puts the new theories to the test. There are underlying “tools” that allow the participants to use the theory in a safe and common sense manner to determine validity to their practice.
It explains how both worlds connect and synergize to reinforce the traditional theory is still rock solid and how it can be explained even better in newer neural science theories and terms.
