Participants will examine the cumulative impact of subtle harms and how they can affect trust, engagement, access to care, and ethical practice. Through reflection, case examples, and applied discussion, participants will practice strategies for recognizing harm, responding in the moment, and repairing ruptures when they occur.Learning Objectives: At the end of the workshop, participants will:

There will be a specific focus on NASW Maryland’s recent successes and future efforts to pass a legislation and impact policy in multiple ways. There will be a focus on how to develop and exert influence in this election year.

- How laws are made in Maryland and who makes them
- How to become an effective advocate to influence the legislative and budget processes
- How to have an impact on policy while navigating an election year.
