Synopsis: This workshop is designed to explore the unique challenges and risks associated with intimate partner violence (IPV) within military and veteran families. The session will also cover available resources, support systems, and strategies for prevention and intervention.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 1. Identify the Unique Stressors and Risk Factors related to military life and how these factors contribute to the prevalence of IPV in military and veteran communities. 2. Describe the emotional, psychological, economic, and social impacts of IPV on family members. 3. Explore prevention, intervention, and support strategies to support IPV victims.
