    This workshop presented by Children’s Home Society will walk through practical activities and methods for mentoring the child’s brain to help increase resilience. Participants will gain knowledge about brain development, practical tools for building safe, trusting relationships, and methods for teaching the brain new skills such as self-regulation and social competence. Content will include information on neuroscience, trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) concepts and methods of intervention, playful interaction and building secure relationships. The workshop will include lecture, open discussion and small group activities. 1.5 hour session, including 1.5 ethics hours.
