This program has been approved for 1.0 Continuing Education hours in ETHICS for licensure. NASW VT Authorization. How do social workers remain effective and ethical when facing burnout, compassion fatigue, or overwhelming workloads? We will explore relevant ethical standards and discuss strategies for upholding social work values while navigating the demands of social work practice.
Jennifer Wolfe-Hagstrom will give a 15-minute presentation, then participants will break into groups to review, discuss, and analyze ethical dilemma case scenarios. Participants are expected to have their cameras on and participate in the peer consultation components in the breakout rooms.
Learning Objectives: At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Identify ethical standards concerning self-care, competence, and impairment.
Discuss strategies for maintaining ethical practice when facing burnout.
Demonstrate ethical dilemma best practices.
