African Centered practice methods is a theoretical approach to practice that centers African values, perspectives and worldviews as the guiding principles to engaging with individuals, families, organizations and communities. This presentation will provide context of African Centered practice and strategies for practice using the seven core principles of Kwanzaa. Ethical considerations will be explored using the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics and the Association of Black Social Workers Code of Ethics.
