    Educating Social Workers in Palliative and End-of-Life Care (ESPEC) is an innovative training program designed for health social workers by social workers to promote the integration of primary palliative care skills into clinical practice.

    Leadership training includes live, synchronous instructor-led training using interactive training techniques designed to engage the learner and create a new community of practice.


    Part III: Leadership Workshops
    Content includes large and small group learning activities designed to improve confidence, competence and visibility in the health social work role.

    Objectives:
    1. Improve practice strategies for becoming a more effective change agent. 
    2. Improve the ability to navigate complex systems and advocate on behalf of patients and caregivers.  
    3. Expand your influence as a social worker.
    4. Enhance your confidence in interactions with other members of the healthcare team. 
    5. Construct a personal mission statement to communicate the value-added proposition of social work. 
    6. Develop a professional development plan.
    7. Identify action steps to improve practice.

    Leadership Session I  - Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Eastern
    Leadership Session II - Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Eastern


    Must attend both sessions to receive credit!
