    Promoting Resilience & Recovery from the Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic

    1.5 CEUs (may be counted as ethics of general CEUs)

    Presenters:
    • Rachel Kaul, LCSW, CTS
    • Kayla Siviy, MSW
    This training is designed for social workers in a variety of practice settings to learn key information and skills needed to promote resilience and recovery at the community level from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Delivered by three social workers involved in leadership roles in the national COVID-19 crisis response and recovery effort, it will include:
    • practical guidance on the specific stressors and psychological impacts of life during the pandemic;
    • strategies to mitigate the psychological effects of the COVID-19 crisis, both for clients and for social workers themselves;
    • organizational stressors of COVID-19;
    • strategies for social work agency leadership to mitigate organizational stressors;
    • ways to re-assess and adjust delivery of services to clients to promote service models that are accessible, equitable, and safe in the “new normal” of communities affected by COVID-19 public health emergency
    The presentation will help social workers, whatever their practice area, to know what they need to know about COVID-19, and develop new clinical and managerial tools to promote greater equity, health, and safety in the community in the changed landscape COVID-19 has brought to American communities.
