    Participants will increase understanding of racial injustices and the impact on children and adolescents. Participants will hear discussions, view video clips and be presented with interventions to help begin to understand how children and adolescents are managing in this current social climate.

    Objectives:

    • Participants will learn the definition of historical trauma, racial trauma and microaggressions and how children and adolescents are impacted.
    • Participants will hear group discussion about the need to address racial injustices with children and adolescents as well as potential barriers that can interrupt this process.
    • Participants will identify three interventions that can be used with children and adolescents to address racial injustices.
