Neurodivergence shows up everywhere, even in supervision. This rarely explored topic is worthy of it's own exploration into the various ways that neurodivergence intersects with clinical supervision. During this Lunch & Learn we will introduce the concept by going over definitions and aspects of neurodivergence, identifying how neurodivergence shows up on both sides of the supervision relationship, and uncovering ways to be supportive of various neurotypes of both supervisee and supervisor.
Objectives
Participants will be able to distinguish the differences between the terms neurodivergence and neurodiversity.
Participants will be able to identify at least 3 ways neurodivergence can show up within supervision.
Participants will reflect on how they can increase their support of various neurotypes within their supervision sessions.
