Bringing our Bodies into our Work

    Presenter:  Marylee Hardenbergh, LICSW

1 CEU (may be counted as clinical or general CEU)

Our bodies are one of our greatest resources. Helping our clients learn to access and integrate this resource is a potent source of healing.  This workshop will introduce a sampling of specific exercises and interventions to help deepen a felt-sense of our body experience in our practice. We will offer interventions that can be done seated or standing, online or in person, in groups or individual sessions, regardless of your or your clients’ physical limitations. Sometimes the quickest way to change our minds is to change our bodies - this workshop will offer you a taste of that!

    About the Presenter
Marylee Hardenbergh, LICSW, has been a practicing therapist for over 45 years. In addition to a private practice, she has worked on psychiatric units at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and taught university classes in Dance/Movement Therapy. A Certified Movement Analyst and choreographer, she teaches workshops internationally. She co-authored a chapter on Eating Disorders and the Body with Julia, and also co-led a Dance Psychotherapy for over ten years with her.
