Clinical Supervision in Social Work: Monitoring and Mentoring Social Work Practitioners is presented by Cynthia Lietz, PhD, LCSW for the NASW-AZ Chapter.This comprehensive 12-hour workshop is designed to review supervision skills and meet the clinical supervision requirements of the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
The following aspects of supervision will be explored as we link theory and professional experiences to best practice:
1. Identify and define the purpose, role, and functions of supervision; 2. Define theories and models of supervision; 3. Explore and apply the skill sets necessary to provide oversight and guidance to a supervisee who diagnoses, creates treatment plans, and treats clients; 4. Explore the purpose and practice of both individual and group supervision in social work. 5. Review recent research related to the practice of clinical supervision.
This program is good for 12 hours of Clinical Supervision required by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners during the initial licensure period.
