Although a large component of the daily work of social workers is to diagnose psychiatric illnesses, there is little education on how to do that well. This training teaches how to differentially diagnose using specific questions and provides distinct tools that clinicians can use in clinical sessions.
Learning Objectives:
Learn the art of diagnosis, gathering specific questions that will aid the clinician in obtaining the most accurate diagnosis with each client.
Practice the clinical interview, asking learned questions to aid in differential diagnosis.
Obtain assessment tools to use in the clinical interview.
Please note that much of the information in the introduction and closing can be disregarded when viewing this course as a recording. For purpose of CE’s, use the post-test, rather than the code described in the video.
