This webinar will provide an introduction to Psychiatric Advance Directives (PADs), legal tools available to support the person with mental illness by making their preferences for treatment known in advance of a crisis situation. The use of PADs supports ethical clinical practice through empowering the person who lives with mental illness. The webinar will review how the principles of beneficence, autonomy and justice can be supported through the use of PADs.
