    This is a self-study course. In order to receive credit for this course, you must watch the video and complete the post-test with at least 80%.

    This training will cover the basics of infant (ages 0-3) development, attachment and how they contribute to a child's mental health. Additional topics will cover what disruption or trauma in these areas looks like and what are the best options for treatment. Target audience - anyone working with or interested in working with young children, pre or postpartum mothers and fathers, or adults with relationship difficulties. Available resources and referral options for children and families will be identified. 

     

    Key Learning Objectives:


    • Identify basic developmental milestones of children age 0-3 and how these are important indicators of mental health
    • Identify the basics of attachment and its relevance to mental health
    • Describe the rupture and repair process and need to re-attune 
    • Identify the serve and return process and its role in attachment
    • Recognize possible signs and symptoms of a mental health concern in this age group
