    1. Reflecting changes in societal norms, religious beliefs, and medical advancements. 
    2. Death as a taboo subject based in fear. 
    3. The growing recognition, especially within the medical field, of the importance of addressing end-of-life issues with dignity and respect. 
      1. Exploring historical end-of-life care. 
      2. Exploring the impact of modern medical advancements as it relates to compassionate end-of-life care within the last century.
