Critical Decision Making in Mental Health Crisis Care: Utilizing the Columbia Suicide Severity Scale with Children

3 Category A Clinical CEs in suicide prevention approved by NASW NH #3989

Dennis Walker, Seacoast MH Emergency Services Director, and Kim Goldberg, Lakes Region Emergency Services Director, will be presenting on how to use the Columbia Suicide Severity Scale outside of the emergency department. Suicide assessment with youth can be complicated and should involve family systems. The second half of the training will be led by a panel of social workers and child therapists across settings to apply suicide prevention and assessment principles in practice.
