Suicide Prevention at All Levels of Social Work Practice
Elena Sander, MPH, LICSW, leads readers through a comprehensive approach to suicide prevention interventions at all levels of impact. It takes the participant/practitioner through elements of SPRC’s Comprehensive Approach to Suicide Prevention. Practitioners are guided to take a wider lens and begin to think more conceptually about how suicide prevention can become further integrated into our social fabric. The course offers the participant/practitioner several “checkpoints” to consider how to apply learning in the context of their own work. At the completion of the course, social workers are invited to consider a Personal Action Plan, where they will consider actions they can take with their new knowledge.
