    In this presentation, attendees will be provided with a brief history of American anti-miscegenation laws designed to maintain white supremacy and deny Black-White couples the benefits of marriage. The social science research will be discussed to identify the stressors experienced by married Black-White couples along with the strategies utilized to mitigate those challenges. Clinical interventions and couple testimonies will be reviewed to assist social workers providing martial therapy to Black-White couples.
     
     Learning Objectives:

     By attending this presentation, social workers will be able to:
     1. Understand how a white supremacy culture perpetuates the stressors experienced by married Black-White couples.
     2. Implement interventions to assist Black-White couples to achieve marital satisfaction.
