Let’s Talk about Sex: Working with Clients Who Practice BDSM and Kink
Social workers engage with sex and sexuality in all kinds of practice settings and with a variety of client populations. Many social work professionals have internalized sociocultural taboos about talking about sexuality and tend to avoid the topic in their practice. Without education regarding consensual BDSM, clinicians may not have the skills or the motivation to differentiate a client’s preferred sexual expression or kink from the bias surrounding it. This workshop is sponsored in part by Institute for Personal Growth.
