    Description-

    This text course looks at suicide and suicidal ideation in adolescence.  The two studies review relationships between adolescent ideation and its impact on study participant later in life and risk factors for adolescent depression are explored and overall data regarding suicide is reviewed.    

     

    Learning Objectives-

    1.    To understand the effects of adolescent suicide ideation on later life, and the need for early identification and continued intervention.

    2.    To recognize potential risk factors for adolescent depression

    3.     To learn about suicide including populations, risk factors, warnings signs, and coping with suicide loss.
