Social workers have a long social and political action track record to include promoting voter registration. With voter suppression on the rise and US Democracy on the brink the stakes are higher than ever. In this presentation NASW and the National Social Work Voter Mobilization Campaign will focus on voter mobilization in the context of current challenge to voting rights. It will feature the Power of 3 campaign, which seeks to amplify mass voter registration efforts. This webinar will include a panel presentation and discussion that will include the history of voting rights, the benefits that voting brings to individuals communities and the profession, and real stories from the field. Attendees will also be provided with information and resources needed to register and mobilize voters.
