People under carceral control are at disproportionately high risk from COVID-19. Prisons and jails are epicenters for COVID-19 transmission, including to the community. High rates of preexisting health conditions, limited access to quality healthcare and inability to social distance make it impossible to reduce the impact of COVID-19 in these settings. This webinar will review evidence-based strategies and provide an overview of relevant current policy efforts.

    1. Participants will gain an understanding of the fundamental causes of the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on people under carceral control
    2. Participants will gain an understanding of evidence-based strategies to address this disproportionate impact
    3. Participants will develop action steps to address the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on people under carceral control
Please note that much of the information in the introduction and closing can be disregarded when viewing this course as a recording. For purpose of CE’s, use the post-test, rather than the code described in the video.
