This introductory training to trauma and PTSD provides the learners with a comprehensive exploration of the psychological trauma field, the nature of trauma (sexual abuse, combat, and natural disasters), how trauma affects individuals, grief reactions, racial distress and traumatic stress. Also included in this training, is the exploration of the professional’s response to trauma, vicarious traumatization, the use of trauma-informed care as a crisis intervention, comorbid disorders and general treatment issues.
