Psychoeducation in the Virtual Playroom - Presented by the North Carolina Chapter
Meredith College Introduction to Social Work students were partnered with a community based social worker to complete their service learning requirements remotely. Students were assigned to create a library of Bitmoji playrooms to serve as a psychoeducation delivery modality for child and adolescent clients diagnosed with developmental and mental health challenges. This session follows the partnership between social work education into the field, where service learning became cultivated content that the community agency can use with clients. These playrooms can be used with clients during sessions or as therapeutic homework. Playroom themes include emotional awareness, impulse control, anxiety, and coping skills.
