    Over 78,000 Afghans were evacuated from Afghanistan to the United States in August 2021, following the U.S. troop withdrawal. Individuals and families are being resettled throughout the country, and a variety of organizations are helping to support their adjustment to life in a new society.  Please join us at this interactive webinar, which will cover:

    1. Key dimensions of Afghan evacuee resettlement, through a social work lens
    2. Current and emerging resettlement challenges (e.g., employment, education, legal, financial, mental health, health, etc.)
    3. Highlights of government and community-based organization resettlement programs and efforts
    4. Opportunities for social workers to play a role in supporting Afghan resettlement
    5. Resources to support social workers in these efforts
