Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention

1 CEUA community-based presentation that covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention, and what people can do to fight suicide. Attendees will learn the risk and warning signs of suicide, and how together, we can help prevent it. Social Workers that work with directly with individuals and families, in mental health or education systems, or that are interested in having a general understanding of suicide prevention and the risks and warning signs of suicide will learn something in this webinar.
About the PresenterCassandra Linkenmeyer is the Minnesota Area Director for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP.) As a passionate advocate for mental health and suicide prevention, Cassandra has worked with volunteers across the state to bring prevention training, education, outreach, and loss support to all Minnesotans. Cassandra’s mission, and the mission of AFSP, is to create a culture that’s smart about mental health and to bring hope and healing to all those who’ve been affected by suicide.
