The purpose of this presentation is to provide mental health clinicians the information and training necessary to integrate telehealth into their behavioral health practices. Theoretical and administrative guidelines will be discussed, and participants will gain knowledge of the technical requirements and clinical adjustments necessary to create a secure and effective telehealth program for their individual practices.

Tele-mental health enhances access to culturally competent care by removing geographic and language barriers and offering consumers access to diverse, experienced providers. Alliance is the strongest predictor of positive therapeutic outcome, access to a wide range of providers increases comfort level and satisfaction.This talk will review key aspects of a culturally competent telehealth practice.

Please note that much of the information in the introduction and closing can be disregarded when viewing this course as a recording. For purpose of CE’s, use the post-test, rather than the code described in the video.
