Nexus Wellness Group Synopsis: Effective leadership in human service settings requires more than administrative oversight—it demands empathy, awareness, and a trauma-informed lens.
Resilient Leadership helps supervisors and leaders recognize the impact of secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, and organizational stress on both staff and themselves. This training equips participants with strategies to create supportive supervisory relationships, promote psychological safety, and cultivate resilience across teams while maintaining accountability and professional integrity.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Define trauma-informed supervision and its relevance in preventing burnout and promoting staff well-being.
- Identify signs of secondary traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma within supervisory and team dynamics.
- Apply trauma-informed principles—safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural awareness—to leadership and supervision practices.
- Implement reflective supervision strategies that foster open communication, resilience, and professional growth.
- Develop organizational practices that support staff retention, self-care, and a culture of wellness.
