Why do we have so many people without homes in Rhode Island? What is the best approach to ending long-term homelessness? Homelessness disproportionately affects people of color, especially Black and Indigenous people in Rhode Island. It also disproportionately affects single mothers and LGBTQ+ people. Eric Hirsch, PhD will cover these issues in his presentation.

    Learning Objectives:
    • That attendees understand the causes of long-term homelessness.
    • That attendees understand how to end long-term homelessness.
    • That attendees know how to achieve an end to long-term homelessness politically.
