Living the Code: Exploring the NASW Code of Ethics on Cultural Competence & Self Care
Participants will be taught the differences between Eurocentric, and Afrocentric worldviews and its implications for social work practice Participants will also engage in activities that honors Indigenous contributions to social work profession and connections to self-care strategies as self-preservation tools. Lastly, participants will be engaged in a call-to-action pledge to embody the values of social work as a way of life, exhibiting the NASW Code of Ethics through holistic practice.
