Our entire world is in a state of grief right now-complicated grief. Fear for our own health and the health of our loved ones and the upheaval of normal our routines. While social workers are attending to client’s grief- we too are experiencing a multitude of losses. The loss of friends, family, colleagues, clients, and for some-our jobs and financial security. For those who have not lost anything so concrete as a job or a loved one, we are all still affected by a sense of communal grief as we adapt to changes in in the systems we depend upon to do our work, connect socially and manage our daily lives.
NASW is committed to supporting our members and the social work profession during this challenging period in our history. This webinar is intended to support social workers with managing our own grief while also recognizing our strengths and resilience as individuals and as social work professionals.
