This writing workshop is designed for social workers, teachers, and (human service) nonprofit workers who are writing grant proposals.
Goals and Objectives:
- How to write an unforgettable story about your mission and the difference your organization is making.
- How to describe your program in vivid, attention-grabbing, evidence-based prose.
- How to emphasize your program’s opportunities in the midst of challenge and change.
- How to “decode” funders' calls for proposals so you can determine if your program is a likely fit.
- How to understand funders' stated priorities and to anticipate their unstated priorities.
- How to save time and energy with a letter of inquiry.
- How to emphasize specific ways your program matches the prospective funder's priorities.
