The Intersection of Mind, Body, and Wellness - Presented by NASW Delaware
When we can’t show up physically for ourselves it impacts our physical, emotional, and mental well-being; thus it creates challenges on how we show up as social workers. Engaging in non-reciprocal relationships daily with individuals who share their lives and trauma as we hold space can be very difficult to be a social worker. This workshop will teach social workers how to; heal in a healthy way mentally, emotionally, and physically; To empower social workers in addressing their physical well-being; and how to overcome the cycle of compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma within the social work profession.
