Lee Start is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Minnesota, and adjunct instructor in the Master of Social Work program at Augsburg University and St. Kates. They specialize in religious trauma, spiritual abuse, religious and non-religious high control group recovery, as well as supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals throughout the lifespan. They are passionate about harm reduction, decolonizing therapy, and trauma-informed care that includes the nervous system in the conversation. They believe there is always more to learn about ourselves, our relationships, our needs, who we are in the world, and what brings us joy.
