Naming the Invisible Load: Ethical Practice and the Unspoken Labor of Social Work- Where’s OSHA? 1 CEU - Ethics or Supervision Presenter:Katrina Gregor, MSW, LICSW/LCSW
Social workers are often asked to carry ethical complexity, emotional labor, and political neutrality in systems that fail to name — or address — the contradictions they impose. This presentation explores the hidden emotional toll of navigating value dissonance, holding space for clients with opposing views, and maintaining ethical integrity when systems remain silent. Rather than offering easy solutions, there are none, this session creates space to name the weight, honor the labor, and reflect on what self-compassion and sustainability look like in real practice.
About the Presenter:
Katrina Gregor, MSW, LICSW/LCSW , is a practice owner with experience in trauma-informed, relational, and systems-based practice. Her work centers ethical practice, sustainability, and the often unspoken labor carried by social workers across roles. Katrina brings a thoughtful, practical lens to how invisible demands shape burnout, boundaries, and professional responsibility.
