This presentation explores the process of grief after a broad spectrum of losses. We will discuss modern theories of grief including constructivist approaches and the Dual Process Model while emphasizing a strengths based approach to building interventions.
Understand and evaluate the biopsychosocial process of grief following a broad spectrum of loss experiences.
Examine and apply modern theories of loss, grief, and bereavement, including the task oriented framework, constructivist approaches, continuing bonds.
Use modern theories of grief combined with an understanding of instrumental and intuitive styles of grieving to design practical, customized interventions.
