On August 4th, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Delegate Assembly approved a substantive revision to the NASW Code of Ethics. Most of the changes are related to the use of technology in social work practice; however, there are other changes that will have significant implications for the profession. The new Code will go into effect on January 1, 2018.

By attending this session offered by the NASW Office of Ethics and Professional Review, participants will:

    • Learn about the revisions to the NASW Code of Ethics and the rationale for the changes
    • Understand the implications of the revisions for social workers
    • Gain knowledge of additional training and resources related to the 2018 revisions
