Leadership to Advance Cultural Competence: Everyone’s Responsibility
This webinar builds upon the 2015 Revised NASW Standards on Cultural Competence in the Social Work Profession, Standard 10: “Leadership to Advance Cultural Competence.” It invites all social workers, regardless of their formal position, to claim their leadership opportunities and skills to promote and advance cultural competence in their organizations and communities. The session will (1) explore issues and challenges relevant to making a commitment to advance cultural competence, (2) identify relevant leadership skills required and (3) provide examples of leadership to promote and advance cultural competence in action.
