Presenters: Jenn Hamrick Vander Woude, LGSW, MSW and Amy Petersen, MA International Development This training will provide information and examples on utilizing project management processes and tools, considering the opportunities to leverage these concepts in social work to meet organizational, team, and affected persons’ needs. Through a presentation of project management processes and interactive engagement to consider an example, this presentation will allow social workers to practically consider implementing project management processes and best practice in initiatives that serve community and family needs.

Jenn Hamrick Vander Woude is a licensed social worker passionate about people and systems who is driven to create meaningful change in both small and large organizations. She has over 15 years of experience developing community-driven initiatives, and guiding organizations through transitions. Jenn brings extensive expertise in project management having successfully led complex, cross-sector projects from design to implementation, applying project management tools and processes to ensure clarity, accountability, and impact. Her approach blends technical project management skills with a trauma-informed and people-centered perspective, making her especially skilled at helping teams navigate change with resilience and purpose.
Amy Petersen, MA International Development - A mission-driven, impact-oriented professional with experience in North America, Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia, Impact Projects Consulting Founder and Director Amy Petersen is passionate about realizing meaningful improvements for communities through collaborative approaches to problem solving.
