With intermittent breaksWorkshop Description: This training will focus primarily on codes of ethics, risk management, ethical dilemmas and the narrower topics of boundary issues, dual relationships, conflict of interest and confidentiality. We will identify ethical dilemmas social workers may encounter and review strategies to make an ethical decision.
Objectives:
- NASW ethical values and corresponding standards will be addressed.
- Participants will learn the ethical principle of the Code of Ethics.
- Participants will learn ethical decision-making strategies when dealing with various ethical dilemmas.
Presenter: Kawana Webb is an experienced social worker who has over 20 years of working with children and families. She has been a social worker since 2001, is a social work supervisor, and a current member of NASW-Maryland Chapter. Kawana prides herself in delivering fun, creative, and innovative strategies that make doing the hard work easy. You will leave her trainings and/or workshops with new tools for your social work toolbox to use in daily practices with clients.
