Integration of Energy Healing into Psychotherapy 1 CEU - Clinical and Ethics Presenter: Elizabeth “Liz” Mann, MSW, LICSW, Reiki Master This presentation explores how energy healing practices—such as Reiki, chakra-informed approaches, and somatic energy awareness—can be ethically and effectively integrated into psychotherapy. Grounded in social work values and supported by emerging research, participants will learn how energy-based techniques support nervous system regulation, trauma recovery, and holistic well-being. The session highlights practical applications, case vignettes, ethical considerations, and alignment with the biopsychosocial-spiritual model. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how to expand their therapeutic toolkit while honoring cultural humility, informed consent, and client self-determination. Learning Objectives:1. Identify how energy healing practices can support nervous system regulation, trauma recovery, and holistic well-being within psychotherapy. 2. Describe key ethical considerations—including informed consent, scope of practice, and cultural humility—when integrating energy-based approaches into clinical work 3. Explain Richard Curtin’s five steps of Psychotherapeutic Reiki and analyze clinical examples of how these steps can be applied in therapeutic practice. About the Presenter: Elizabeth Mann is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Reiki Master, as well as the founder of Winding Path Counseling and Earth & Ember Wellness. She specializes in blending evidence-based psychotherapy with holistic mind-body-spirit practices to foster resilience, authenticity, and transformative growth. Through her clinical work, retreats, coaching programs, and her podcast The Alchemical Path, Liz advances innovative approaches that challenge conventional paradigms and empower individuals to reconnect with their innate capacity for healing. *Please check with the regulatory board in the state(s) where you are licensed to ensure this course meets continuing education requirements.
